Miley Cyrus fills in for ill host on 'Ellen'

Miley Cyrus to the rescue! In between helping aspiring singers as a new coach on The Voice, and starring in Woody Allen's upcoming Amazon series, Crisis in Six Scenes, the pop star can also be called on to help her celebrity friends.

When Ellen DeGeneres was too ill to tape Thursday's episode of her daytime talk show, she reached out to Cyrus, sharing on Twitter:

In a preview for the episode, the 23-year-old singer dances onto the set wearing a denim jacket, just like the show's regular host, and assures the audience she has prepared: "I know all of you came to see Ellen, so I'm gonna do my best to make you very happy. I'm dressed like her, I smell like her, just before I came out here I actually kissed a girl so ..." she jokes.

Cyrus also pokes fun at herself, saying, "I'll admit I'm a little bit nervous because I've never hosted a show with my clothes on before, so this is so weird."

Later on the episode, Miley Cyrus interviews actress Sarah Jessica Parker about her new show, Divorce, and Frozen Queen Idina Menzel, who performs her single, "Queen of Swords."
