OnlyOnAOL: Garth Brooks beats the Beatles with huge milestone

Garth Brooks just made history.

At a tour stop in Fresno, his wife Trisha Yearwood announced in front of the audience that Brooks had just received his seventh RIAA Diamond.

This means he's surpassed The Beatles, making him the only artist in music history with seven awards.

What does this mean, exactly? RIAA Diamonds are given to artists who sold more than 10 million units of one single album.

Plus, his new single will be out October 13.
