Gavin DeGraw dishes on his dream woman, new music and touring with Andy Grammer

Updated

Gavin DeGraw is a simple man.

"Funny, clever and genuine," the 39-year-old singer said when asked about his dream woman.

The musician may have no problem finding that special gal -- just listening to any song on his new album, "Something Worth Saving," is enough to win any woman over.

DeGraw revealed fans will definitely get some surprises from his highly-anticipated record, including a "fresh" batch of songs fans won't expect

And while he kept mum about whether any of the songs are about one lady in particular, he did reveal who the song "She Sets the City on Fire," was made for.

"Isn't there always a special girl? Aren't all girls special? We all have that potential. I'm proud to have a song that makes people feel like they have that, only if it's for the duration of the song," the crooner gushed.

The singer is currently touring with chart topping artist Andy Grammer, and DeGraw has partnered with Curio -- A Collection by Hilton to make the shows an unforgettable experience for fans.

"Curio and I put together a list of places to go in cities where they have hotels and where I'm going to be touring," said DeGraw. "It's a list of off-the-beaten-path places that I recommend to my fans who are coming to the shows."

Though the well-traveled musician has been to a fair share of places in his career, there's one U.S. city that'll always have a special place in his heart.

"Boston -- probably because I lived there in college and I'm Irish. My best memory has to be going there and driving into Fenway Park while touring with Billy Joel and thinking, "this is the most epic moment maybe ever for you."

And just like any Bostonian, he's got mad love for baseball.

"Boston has such a strong baseball fan culture -- they don't just go to the game. They live for it. That's one of the things that makes Boston special."

Sorry ladies, it's safe to say Boston is Gavin's first love.
