Remember Thackery and Emily Binx from 'Hocus Pocus'? Yeah, they look totally different now

"Hocus Pocus" goes down as one of the best Halloween films of all time, no contest.

The movie, which starred Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson sisters, opened to okay reviews in 1993; but, it was the cult like following it gained in the later years that had everyone obsessed.

Obviously Bette, SJP, and Kathy are all doing pretty well for themselves, so we were curious, what ever happened to Thackery and Emily Binx? You remember Thackery and Emily...remember, Winnie, remember...

Thackery was Binx, the black cat that followed around Dani, Allison, and Max after they brought the sisters back from the dead. He was of course turned into the black cat after he tried (and failed) to save his sister, Emily.

Here's Thackery right before he turned into a cat...

And Emily...right before her soul was sucked out of her body...

We did some research, and Thackery and Emily have changed a whole lot!

First off, Thackery Binx. Thackery, who's real name is Sean Murray, is most definitely someone you've seen in the past few years. Murray has been on the hit CBS show "NCIS" since 2003! He's had a few other credits, including TV series "Jag" and "Harts of the West," too.

Now, for Emily, it's complicated to say the very least. According to IMDb, they credit Jodie-Amy Rivera (Amanda Shepherd) as playing Emily, but in fact, it's not her at all! This is the real Amanda Shepherd who played Emily Binx.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Jodie-Amy Rivera, who is actually a huge YouTube celeb, goes on to explain how the whole mix-up occurred.

Hopefully you are able to sleep well tonight knowing the real Emily Binx got her time to shine.
