Best and worst dressed at the 2016 MTV VMAs
The MTV VMAs are the perfect setting for huge fashion risks. This year was no exception with lots of big fashion wins and misses.
Nicki Minaj went for her signature sexy on the red carpet in a midnight blue gown with sexy sheer panels and plunging cutouts. While the artist definitely oozed glamour, the frock itself was a bit of a tacky mess. Kim Kardashian also rocked the sheer trend Sunday night -- and she totally perfected the "I just jumped out of bed" look in a tiny black ruched mini dress that was casually slipped off one shoulder. She polished off the sexy style with a set of strappy heels.

Justine Skye, on the other hand, looked like a discard from the Muppets factory in a multi-colored fringe dress. Singer and actress Hailee Steinfeld also opted for a wild, colorful ensemble -- but nailed her red carpet look with a cool, patterned minidress and her hair down in pretty waves.
