Aretha Franklin needs a bit of a break.

The legendary singer has canceled three shows due to "doctors' orders," she said in a statement on Monday.

"Due to doctors' orders I will have to cancel a few concerts for the next month or so," Franklin, 74, told the Associated Press.

No specific reason was given, though last August, she canceled a Las Vages show because of exhaustion.

Franklin will no longer perform at a show that was set for Friday at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts near Vienna, Virginia, and will also miss two upcoming shows at New York City's Radio City Music Hall -- "Tony Bennett Celebrates 90" on Sept. 15 and a solo gig on Sept. 23.

The "Respect" singer said she should be back on the road in November.
