Amazonia LIVE to raise awareness for Amazon Rainforest preservation through live concert event
Get ready to make it rain ... for the forest!
Later this month on August 27, famed music festival Rock in Rio will partner with LiveXLive to broadcast Amazonia LIVE, a floating concert on the Amazon Rainforest's Rio Negro.
The groundbreaking concert will feature performances from Placido Domingo and Ivete Sangalo and seek to raise awareness for rainforest preservation across the globe. For their part, Rock in Rio has already pledged to plant one million new trees in the Amazon, with the potential to raise that number to three million through direct donations from Amazonia LIVE. With help from drones and 360 cameras, Amazonia LIVE will feature a plethora of video content, including live musical performances on the leaf-shaped stage, interviews with the artists and behind-the-scenes action. Watch the stream live here on Saturday.
Viewers will be encouraged to get involved and donate toward the reforestation efforts of the Amazon, one of the world's most treasured natural locales.
