The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards have a special place in the heart of many.

Yeah, that one. However, there was another super talked about moment, and that was when Lady Gaga staged her death with her performance of "Paparazzi."

Gaga's performance was macabre, dark, theatrical, and everything we expected from the pop star. She even imagined to get fake blood to pour out of her chest at the end...talk about a performer!

After her recent news that she is releasing a new single next month (!!!), we thought we take a look back at one of our favorite VMA performances ever.

Here's to hoping Gaga will be performing at this year's MTV VMA's at Madison Square Garden!
