Britney Spears is back.

Following her excellent new single "Make Me..." ft. G-Eazy (which debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100), Ms. Spears announced her ninth studio album, Glory, is coming via Apple Music on Aug. 26.

The news came from Brit-Brit's Twitter, along with the promise that this release is the "beginning of a new era" for the long-running pop princess.

Spears also announced that anyone who pre-orders Glory, available at midnight tonight (Aug. 3), will get "Private Show" instantly. That track, which was teased last month, shares the title of her latest perfume.

Britney's last album, 2013's Britney Jean, boasted a signature hit with "Work Bitch," but was otherwise the singer's most disappointing effort. Aside from lukewarm fan response, it under-performed commercially, debuting at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 -- her lowest peak position for a studio album.

Since then, however, Spears' celebrated run of Las Vegas shows have helped bolster her star power and renew interest in her career.
