It's physically impossible for Taylor Swift to avoid being in the news, but it seems like a recent incident that Swift herself is calling 'character assassination' has triggered the end of her reign for one Australian artist.
Actually, the mural in Hosier Lane is simply a portrait of Taylor's likeness with the words 'R.I.P. Taylor Smith" beside it.
The artist, Lushsux, told Daily Mail that "Smith" was the result of "an unintentional mistake." They meant Swift.
A painting of a crying Pikachu/Pepe meme combination signals the revival of Pokemon in her wake.
A note below the mural asks that no one tags Taylor's likeness, out of "respect for the dead."

Taylor Swift (or Smith) is not actually dead. In case you missed it, she was recently exposed by Kim Kardashian (also not dead) for approving an inflammatory lyric about Swift in Kardashian's husband Kanye West's song.
Yes, it's a long and winding road worthy of one of Taylor's earlier country songs.
Kardashian's actions lead to Swift being "exposed" for not being as innocent as she has always claimed to be.
It's true -- Swift has not actually been seen since before the incident on July 10, when she grabbed dinner with the taller half of Hiddleswift, Tom Hiddleston.
Hiddleston has been spotted on jogs and taking selfies with fans.
And if you feel like you've seen a Swift mural before, it's because you might have -- in 2014, Swift was dubbed New York City's global welcome ambassador, and this happened:
We here at LPM have nothing but love for Taylor Swift. Rather, our comment is on the whitewashing and gentrification of New York. While we realize and appreciate that New York is ever changing, when a starving artist once representative of the New York spirit is replaced by the modern 19 million dollar condo owner who drinks lattes we have to shake our heads. We worked with a true NY graffiti legend (Chico LES) to paint our take on the situation. Chico got his start painting memorial murals in the lower east side in the 80's. While Taylor Swift is alive and well, and we wish her no harm, she did kill off yet another piece of that broken New York spirit. The idea of her being our spokesperson is DEAD and we expressed that through a ny artist. RIP TAYLOR SWIFT. #RIPTAYLORSWIFT #chico #chicoles #nyambassador #taylorswift #w2ny #bodegas #stoops #lattes #houston #graffiti #newyork #nyc #les #fbf #instagood #lapetitemort #LPM #37orchard

The artist claimed that Swift "did kill off yet another piece of that broken New York spirit. The idea of her being our spokesperson is DEAD."
Hopefully she will step out soon and tell us that this is a narrative from which she would very much like to be excluded.
