Nickelodeon's Loud Houseis about to make history.

For the first time in the history of the Viacom-owned cable network, one of its original animated series will introduce a same-sex married couple, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

In the episode set to air Wednesday, the biracial gay couple are the parents of Clyde McBride and are voiced by Michael McDonald and Wayne Brady.

The Loud House, which debuted on the channel in May, centers on the life of Lincoln Loud and his 10 sisters. Clyde is Lincoln's best friend and a main character on the series.

A clip from the episode, which airs Wednesday at 5 p.m., was first posted to Twitter on Saturday. As seen in the clip, Clyde's parents pop up when they drop off their son for a sleepover.

Disney Channel broke similar barriers in 2014 when live-action comedy Good Luck Charlie introduced a same-sex couple in 2014.
