(Spoiler Alert: Do not keep reading if you have not seen "Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens")

"Star Wars: Episode VIII" is still shrouded in mystery, but franchise star Carrie Fisher may have just inadvertently given away an important plot detail.

During Star Wars Celebration Europe, Fisher was on a panel being moderated by fellow franchise mainstay Warwick Davis. Davis asked her what she knew about the timeline between "Return of the Jedi" and "The Force Awakens."

Fisher, who started playing Princess Leia in "A New Hope," seemed to interpret the question as being about the timeline between "The Force Awakens" and "Star Wars: Episode VIII," so she started her answer with the words, "Han's funeral," per Yahoo Movies.

She quickly caught herself and followed up with, "The old one, oh. Han and I have a very, very volatile relationship, obviously, which leads to space divorce as you know. No, I don't think we are divorced, just estranged."

Han Solo (Harrison Ford) met his end in an incredibly dramatic moment in "The Force Awakens" when he confronts his son Ben, better known as Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Han tries to reach the good side of his son, and is thanked for his efforts with a lightsaber through the midsection.

If Fisher's comment was more than just a slip of the tongue, what role will the famed smuggler's funeral play in the new film? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
