McKayla Maroney may be famous for her frown face from the Olympics -- but she might be making it again if the rumors about her changing looks don't stop.

The Olympic gymnast came under the microscope earlier this week about her changing looks, namely her much fuller lips and filled out face, prompting many fans to proclaim that she had gotten plastic surgery. But Maroney, who was just 16 when she became an Olympian and an Internet sensation, says that the rumors are hurtful and completely false.

"First of all, that I haven't," she told Seventeen magazine in a new interview. "Growing up in the social media world, it's tough. Your face changes, you get older, your face fills out, and you fall into liking makeup and different stuff like that. And for people saying that, for the most part — it would kind of hurt my feelings when you haven't done anything."

She revealed the only way that she gets past the harsh comments is just to try and ignore it.

"You just kind of have to keep being yourself and move forward with what you love," she continues. "I just haven't had anything to give to people, so they're almost just picking at anything that they can to find something to talk about me for. It's just one of those things right now and you just have to keep moving forward."

Maroney also pointed out that her body and looks have changed a lot since her Olympic days and her priorities have completely shifted and she's not competing at the same level anymore. Maroney originally intended to try and make the 2016 Olympic team again but after some health problems she says she fell out of love with the sport and decided her heart just wasn't in it.

"I was so young and I was not focused on what I looked like. I was focused on the gold medal. And now I'm just getting into entertainment and really looking at other girls who are wearing makeup. It's a thing now! I'm getting into fashion and I really enjoy it. I think it freaks people out to see somebody change just a little bit."

These days she's focusing on making music and has already recorded a couple demos. She even plans to have her first single out in a couple months.

"My biggest inspiration is Drake. I love the way that he tells stories. It has a little bit of a Calypso jam vibe. He's real and always lyrically-driven in all the melodies. If there's one person I want to sound like, it's him."

And as for the haters who won't stop bugging her about her looks she has one final thing to say:

"For anybody who's judging it and not liking it, that's fine. Unfollow me. I don't really care."
