Craig Morgan's son missing after inner tubing accident
Country music singer Craig Morgan's 19-year-old son, Jerry Greer, is missing after an inner tubing accident on Sunday.
The recent high school grad was tubing at Kentucky Lake in Humphreys County, Tennessee, when he and another teenager collided. The two were reportedly being pulled by a boat. While both boys were reportedly wearing life jackets, one of the boys, Morgan's son, did not resurface, WSMV-TV reports.
The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Authorities worked throughout the evening to try and locate Morgan's son.
Morgan and his wife, Karen Greer, are asking for privacy as recovery efforts are underway to locate their son.
"The family is grateful for everyone's support and prayers and requests privacy during this difficult time," the family said in a statement.
Rob Edwards, Chief Deputy from the Humphreys County Sheriffs Office, told E! News that the investigation is ongoing. "Jerry and another man were on a raft being pulled by a boat. They were thrown from the raft and Jerry never resurfaced. He was wearing a life jacket at the time but went under. We are currently searching for him with several boats. We will update you once we know more," he says in the statement. "The Tennessee Wildlife Recourses Agency is conducting the investigation as to what happened that led up to these events."

According to his Twitter account, Jerry had plans to attend Marshall University in the fall.
Morgan is definitely a family man. During a recent interview with AOL he said that family was the most important thing in his life and he was grateful for their love and support while he was on the road promoting his new album, "A Whole Lot More to Me."
