Ariel Winter ditched her fiery red locks and went back to her signature raven hue -- and she debuted her "new" look in a sexy Instagram selfie.

The "Modern Family" star is photographed looking into the camera with her long dark hair and big brown eyes as she leans against a wall.

"Back to black," she captioned the alluring snap.

Some of the 18-year-old actress' 2.1 million Instagram followers were quick to react.

"Black never look so good," one fan wrote.

Another user also defended the star after many commenters were quick to criticize her.

"People will say what they will but its no denying you're gorgeous," the person kindly commented.

The big change comes after Winter made headlines for numerous racy Instagram posts, including one where she's taking a bubble bath. A wine glass filled with a suspicious purple substance is seen, making some wonder whether she was drinking alcohol though she's still not of age.

She also made headlines for an incredibly revealing outfit for her graduation that some didn't think was appropriate for the occasion. The actress was quick to shutdown the critics in a tweet.

"Dear sorry body-shamers, I looked HOT in that dress," she posted. "And if you hate it, don't buy it. But please get a hobby. XOXO Ariel #EmbraceYourBody."

Clearly she knows haters will hate.

And though the reason behind her hair color switch remains unknown, we're guessing Winter may have been wanting a more natural hue to blend in with her classmates as she starts classes at UCLA this fall.
