Van Morrison dropped big news on Wednesday -- he's releasing his 36th studio album on September 30th titled "Keep Me Singing."

The new LP marks the first new music Morrison has put out in four years and will feature 12 original songs, written and performed by Morrison, as well as a cover of the blues classic "Share Your Love With Me," previously popularized by the legendary Aretha Franklin.

The 70-year-old singer will release his single for the album "Too Late" on the same day as the album ahead of his 6-city US tour, which begins in October.

The self-produced album is a true reflection of Morrison, combining his talent as a songwriter and his musical prowess on piano and saxophone. Morrison has spent the better part of the past four years re-popularizing his hits with his 2015 LP "Duets: Re-Working the Catalogue. "

The album is already available for pre-order.
