'DWTS' couple Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are expecting their first child

"Dancing With the Stars" may want to add a nursery to the set!

"DWTS" couple Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are expecting their first child together they confirmed on Wednesday.

The pair, who got engaged in December, are over the moon about their impending parenthood.

"I can't wait to provide this baby with the tools to become a beautiful, kind person," Chmerkovskiy says in the current issue of PEOPLE. "And they'll have the best sneaker collection."

The dancing duo found out they were expecting at the start of season 22 of "DWTS" and Murgatroyd explained it hasn't been the easiest road with her pregnancy.

"I was so sick," Murgatroyd says of her first months of pregnancy, while she was competing with model Nyle DiMarco.

Despite the bumpy road, the pair seem to be thrilled about their baby, adding that they haven't found out the gender of their kiddo. They are reportedly still planning their 2017 summer wedding.
