Malia Obama reportedly lands internship with Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein

Malia is going to Hollywood!

While her family begins their "normal" life in Washington D.C., the oldest Obama daughter is interning with legendary producer Harvey Weinstein before starting her first semester at Harvard.

The 18-year-old has experience working in production, previously interning for hit HBO show "Girls." She also worked with Halle Berry and Steven Spielberg as a production assistant for CBS show "Extant."

She'll definitely learn a thing or two from Weinstein, who has credits in films "Shakespeare In Love" and "Pulp Fiction."

Her new gig is no coincidence as her future boss has had a history of backing Democratic presidential candidates. In fact, the Obama's are reportedly friends with Weinstein and his wife, Georgia Chapman.

The brunette beauty took a gap year after graduating from high school, and it sounds like she's making the most out of it!

She reportedly disappeared for two months to take a secret trip to Bolivia and Peru with a bunch of people her own age through the Colorado-based organization Where There Be Dragons. The program helps students "examine current political trends, social movements and environmental conversation efforts in the mountains and jungles of Bolivia and Peru."

The 83-day trip costs a whopping $14,555 (not including airfare) and offers intensive Spanish-language courses and visits to La Paz, Lake Titicaca and Machu Picchu. One thing is for sure, it's definitely not Cabo!

The former first daughter has grown up right before our eyes in the past eight years, and it was never more obvious than at her father's farewell speech in Chicago. Footage of her crying in the middle of the speech caused even grown men to cry! Check out the tear-jerking clip in the video above.
