What time does Trump's inauguration start? Timing for all the events

Donald Trump will officially become the 45th president of the United States during Friday's Presidential Swearing-in Ceremony -- but there are a number of inaugural events before and after the swearing-in that the the president-elect will attend.

Official inaugural events kicked off Thursday with a private Wreath-Laying Ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery and are set to run through Saturday morning.

According to an announcement by Press Secretary Sean Spicer on Thursday morning, the list of events that Trump will partake in this weekend include:

Friday, January 20

  • 8:30 a.m. -- Morning Worship Service
    Trump, Pence and their families will attend a morning service at St. John's Church. They will be joined by leaders of all religious faiths.

  • 9:30 a.m. -- White House Tea
    Trump and his wife, Melania, as well as Pence and his wife, Karen, will meet President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama at the White House for tea.

  • 10:30 a.m. -- Procession to the Capitol
    Obama and the first lady will accompany Trump, Pence and their wives in a motorcade from the White House to the United States Capitol.

  • 11:00 a.m. -- President's Swearing-In Ceremony
    Donald J. Trump will be sworn in as president and Mike Pence will be sworn in as vice president on the West Front of the Capitol.

  • 1:00 p.m. -- Joint Congressional Inaugural Luncheon
    Trump and Pence will attend a luncheon hosted by the JCCIC at the Capitol. A tradition that dates as far back as 1897.

  • 2:00 p.m. -- Military Review
    Trump and Pence will meet with military leaders at the Capitol.

  • 3:00 p.m. -- Inaugural Parade
    Trump and his family and Pence and his family will lead a parade that runs down Pennsylvania Ave. from the Capitol to the White House. An estimated 8,000 people from all over the country will participate in this year's parade.

  • 7:00 p.m. -- Inaugural Balls
    Trump and Pence, accompanied by their families will attend three inaugural balls. They will first make their way to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center for the Liberty and Freedom: The Official Presidential Inaugural Balls, followed by the Salute To Our Armed Services Ball.

Saturday, January 21

  • 10:00 a.m. -- National Prayer Service
    The National Prayer Service will be held at Washington National Cathedral and will include representatives of all religious faiths.
