After a playdate, one mom gets billed $400 for a bizarre reason

One mom is making headlines for the very controversial way she dealt with her daughter's ruined shoes.

England's Sarah Louise Bryan sent her 3-year-old on a playdate at a friend's house. When she picked up her toddler, the mom realized her $400 (£325) shoes were a bit scuffed with pen marks . So, she sent a bill to the mother, asking that she pay for her daughter's designer shoes.

She wrote to the other mom in an email, "I am disgusted to see her new Italian leather shoes are all scuffed and have a Sharpie (pen) mark on them so below is the bill for these replacing (sic). As a designer I do not want my child to look anything less than pristine," according to The Sun.

Bryan went on live television to defend her decision. On 'Good Morning Britain',she explains that her daughter has nearly 60 pairs of shoes. And since the other mother was in charge of the two toddlers, she should pay to fix the shoes.

"Nicola was in charge and she was looking after my child, so she's responsible for the damage," she said on the show.

Piers Morgan was a bit baffled, saying it "happens to 3-year-old girls, I've got a 5-year-old girl, they get pen marks, they draw — and then, when she comes back with pen marks, you have the audacity to send her an invoice."

According to The Sun, Bryan says the her daughter's boots are vital "for her modelling work because they match her outfits".

The mom refused to pay Bryan's invoice.
