EXCLUSIVE: Tarek and Christina El Moussa currently filming 'Flip or Flop' despite divorce petition

Flip or Flop is continuing to film despite Tarek El Moussa's recent divorce petition against his wife, Christina, a source close to Christina tells ET.

According to ET's source, the couple resumed filming on their HGTV show after the holiday break last week, and will continue to appear on-screen together. "It's business as usual for them," the source says. "They're committed to their business and to their future together as they work together on the show."

"They're flipping houses, so [their production schedule] is all dependent on the construction, contractors, et cetera, but for the immediate future, they're still continuing to film," the source adds.

Tarek filed for divorce against Christina on Monday, a month after the two announced their separation in December, where they revealed that they had broken up after a heated fight that led to the police being called to their Orange County, California, home in May.

Court documents obtained by ET on Tuesday show that Tarek is requesting joint legal and physical custody of his and Christina's two children, 6-year-old daughter Taylor and 1-year-old son Brayden, but is requesting spousal support from his estranged wife. Tarek is also asking that Christina pay his attorney's fees, and that the court's ability to award alimony to her be terminated.

"They're sharing custody of the children, and their number one priority is raising their children together, and doing what's best for the family," ET's source reveals, calling Tarek's request for spousal support "laughable."

"They share everything, so it's laughable," the source says.

The source also reveals that both Tarek and Christina "have been dating since they separated," and that they've been living separately since the split, as well.

In December, the couple opened up about their plans to work together after calling it quits, and admitted that they've both been in the dating pool.

"We have both dated other people following the separation, but neither of us is ready to announce anything in terms of another relationship," Tarek and Christina told People.

"We plan to continue our professional life together by being professional, by doing our jobs well, by being prepared and by working hard," the estranged couple added, stating that they'll also be working together to raise their young children.

"The most difficult part of the decision to separate was the kids," they said. "We want the best for them, and we're doing everything we can to ensure that."
