Andrew Garfield explains that Ryan Reynolds kiss

Among the many highlights from Sunday's Golden Globes, that kiss between Andrew Garfield and Ryan Reynolds is one the evening's most memorable moments.

Like the rest of us, Stephen Colbert wanted to know the reason behind it.

"I just wanted Ryan to know that I loved him no matter whether he won or lost," the Silence actor joked with the late-night talk show host. "It doesn't matter, it's how you play the game. He showed up, he gave his all, it doesn't change anything in my heart." The passionate peck between Garfield and Reynolds took place as Ryan Gosling walked to the stage to accept the award for best actor in a comedy or musical.

Colbert then followed up: "And you're very comfortable with kissing other men?"

Without having to say yes, Garfield was soon seen locking lips with Colbert. You can check out their brief make-out session below.
