Ryan Reynolds kisses Andrew Garfield after losing to Ryan Gosling at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards

Updated

Ryan Reynolds just had one of the steamiest makeout sessions in award show history!

The "Deadpool" actor lost out on the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy when Ryan Gosling was awarded the golden statuette for his role in "La La Land," but he didn't go home empty-handed.

Instead, as Gosling was walking up to the stage, Reynolds ended up getting into as very hot makeout session with none other than Andrew Garfield. The two actors locked lips for several seconds, with Garfield clearly trying to console his pal after losing.

Reynolds' wife, Blake Lively, looked on and was spotted cracking up at the spontaneous makeout.

A shocked Gosling told the crowd that he had fully expected the award would go to Ryan Reynolds.

Don't worry, Ryan Reynolds got an award in itself -- a kiss from hottie Andrew!
