Angelina Jolie says Brad Pitt is 'terrified that the public will learn the truth' about abuse

Though Angelina Jolie recently agreed to ex Brad Pitt's request to seal any court documents pertaining to their six children, that doesn't mean that she's happy with the other claims he's made about her.

In her new court filing, Jolie denies Pitt's accusations that she voluntarily made an unnecessary amount of private information through their divorce filings.

Not only that, but Jolie insists that Pitt made such claims only because he's "terrified that the public will learn the truth," People reports.

"There is little doubt that [Brad] would prefer to keep the entire case private," the filing reads. "Particularly given the details investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Dept. of Children and Family Services into allegation of abuse."

Though a Pitt source told People that her "line of attack doesn't make much sense" seeing as both investigations have been closed, a Jolie source contends that just because there was no evidence found of routine abuse doesn't mean that no abuse ever occurred.

"They keep pointing to him being cleared," the source explains. "While his behavior didn't amount to anything criminal, that doesn't mean he didn't do anything wrong."

Additionally, the source claims that "the kids are traumatized" from the entire ordeal.

"The mom has been protecting the kids by not revealing what really happened on that plane. Her interest since the outset hasn't changed: to protest the health and safety of the kids."

The news comes just days into the new year, after Jolie spent the holiday with her six children skiing and enjoying the snow in Colorado. Pitt was nowhere to be seen.
