Who wore what this weekend: Best dressed at the Critics' Choice Awards 2016

The Critics' Choice Awards, one of the few awards shows that happen at the end of the year, feels like the kick-off of Awards season. It happens just before nominations are released for all of the new year's big shows -- in fact, the Golden Globe noms just came out today! -- and is chock-full of huge stars in attendance. It is, in a way, a predictor of the season to come.

And if it's saying anything about the style we're going to see on the Awards Season red carpet in 2017, we're really, really excited.

A majority of the stars who hit the red carpet last night (seriously, do they plan these things?) were decked out in deep-hued dresses, many of them in black. And when you see that much variety all in one color, it just goes to show how you can *never* go wrong with a Little Black Dress. (Or gorgeous floor-length black gown. We digress.)
