Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner reportedly considering move to Washington

Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner are planning to relocate their family to Washington, D.C., according to CNN.

The report has heightened concerns regarding conflicts of interest and a potential breach of regulations regarding nepotism.

Jared Kushner, who served as a close adviser to President-elect Donald Trump during the campaign, is expected by many to take on a role in the administration, notes the Washington Post.

There are laws in place that prevent family members of the president from taking certain government posts, so it is unclear how Kushner would be brought into the executive office fold.

Ivanka's plan to move to Washington, D.C. is also creating confusion, as it suggests the possibility that she will somehow be involved with her father's presidency.

Should Donald Trump follow through with his plan to pass control of his business dealings over to his adult children, Ivanka having an official connection to the White House could further muddy already murky waters.

President-elect Trump is expected to speak with the press on December 15 and address concerns about how his company will be handled while he is in office.
