'Sesame Street' seemingly disses president-elect Donald Trump on Twitter

Updated

Did "Sesame Street" just drag president-elect Donald Trump on Twitter? The Twitterverse seems to think so.

In a tweet sent out on Wednesday afternoon, the children's show's official Twitter account asked its followers a simple question that doesn't even mention Trump's name.

"Did you know that there's a MONSTER on Twitter?" the account asked.

Again, though the tweet doesn't specifically call out the president-elect, many of the account's followers have inferred that the "monster" in question is not the Cookie Monster, but Donald Trump. Trump's Twitter activity has obviously been much dissected and discussed over the past 12 months, and it looks like the people over at "Sesame Street" have had enough.
