Can what someone chooses as a Thanksgiving side dish tell you something about their health?

A study shared by Delish believes so. Now you can play doctor after you watch your friends and family make their dinner choices.

If you see someone gravitate towards stuffing, it could mean that they are dehydrated. Salty food helps your body retain water, which is your body's natural craving when it needs water. Of course, it could also be a sign of stress.

Grabbing some mashed potatoes is another way to soothe stressed nerves. Mashed potatoes are nothing without gravy and if you add it to your meal it could be a sign that you are lacking fat in your diet.

Some people prefer to skip the meal and go straight to dessert. The study suggests this could be because of low blood sugar.

Or perhaps you're just a great decision maker -- depends on how you slice it!
