Nearly 20 months after Ted Cruz kicked off the 2016 campaign as the first candidate to jump into the race, Americans have finally cast their ballots.

Not only will voters decide who the 45th president of the United States will be, but there are also a number of competitive House races and ballot propositions to keep an eye on.
