Fear not -- Starbucks CEO claims his baristas are the 'true promise of America'
Starbucks is out to make the world a better, more inclusive and peaceful place, one latte at a time.
With the company's release of green holiday cups (instead of their iconic and seasonally-awaited red cups), CEO Howard Schultz has been actively making strides (or at least attempting to) towards making the world that much jollier of a place.

And though a Pumpkin Spice Latte won't exactly make liberals and conservatives hold hands and skip down the street together, especially in this election cycle, Schultz is hopeful that another crucial aspect of the Starbucks empire might just be able to enact the change that the world needs these days.
He's not talking about anything you can consume or buy – In fact, Schultz is placing the responsibility in the hands of the baristas themselves.
In fact, Schultz thinks that his workers might just be the "true promise of America."
Bold statement.
He recently drafted a letter to his employees, explaining to them each just how important he believes they are during these difficult times:
"Many Americans have allowed the vitriolic nature of the presidential campaign to ignite our differences and strip away our civility and dignity. In the process, we've lost faith in what we all know has always been true, the promise of America. But you are the true promise of America."
Schultz, who at this point in the letter might as well announce that he's about to become a global ambassador for peace, continues:
"Let's each embrace the universal virtues of respect and dignity, refusing to allow the hatred on cable news, the ugliness of our politics, and the lack of political role models for our kids to define us and to dictate how we treat each other."
And in case you were wondering about the intention behind those new green cups:
"Like the drawing of so many faces with a single, unbroken line on this season's green unity cup, we are all connected."
Deep.
So whether your hope is to "Make America Great Again" or you're "With Her" (the candidate that Schultz himself has very openly supported), just know that the Starbucks baristas are here to make things right again.
