NASA's spacecraft catches stunning view of partial solar eclipse from space

A few hours before the Halloween night, NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory, or SDO caught an image of a partial solar eclipse and what looks like a rather frightened sun.

The blazing body appears to shudder as the moon crosses its path.

In actuality, the sun's seemingly scaredy-cat reaction is simply a byproduct of the SDO's guidance system undergoing slight adjustments.

Also notable in the clip shared by NASA is the amazingly crisp outline of the moon's shadow as it travels across the fiery orb.

The effect is a result of the lunar orb's lack of atmosphere and, thus, light-distorting abilities.
