Professor has epic response to student who skipped class for World Series

A student at Ohio University is getting an unexpected free pass from his professor after he skipped class to watch the Cleveland Indians in the World Series.

Charles Turner signed in to class, submitted his homework then left for Game 1 in Cleveland. When his professor caught him playing hooky after taking roll at the end of class, Turner received a snarky email:

"You are receiving this email because, according to the attendance tracker, you were in class yesterday (Oct. 25), but when I took attendance towards the end of class, your name was not among those present. Can you explain this or should I take it as deceit, for which I have zero tolerance?" Professor Damian Nance wrote.

"I'll be completely honest," Turner responded. "I came and swiped and gave a kid next to my homework because my dad got us tickets for the World Series in Cleveland. I'm sorry I didn't want to miss the attendance and I did the homework. I understand if you have repercussions. Attached is the picture below of my brother and I at the game last night."

His excuse worked.

Nance responded, "Charlie. That looks like an impeccable excuse. No repercussions. Go Tribe!"

Thank you, Professor Nance. It's refreshing to find a professor that counts baseball as an excused absence.
