'80s game sees a dozen installments since its time

Our NES Classic Edition Countdown is going strong, and today we're talking Metroid. It was released in 1986 and has seen more than a dozen installments since. It was also one of the first games to have a female protagonist, Samus. Fun fact, many of her special moves were the result of Nintendo trying to save space. Only because, NES cartridges could only hold one megabyte back then! Talk about throwbacks.

It may not be your modern day mega-pixel packed video game, but there is something to be said about old-school games and this one, is pretty great.
