Best Amazon Black Friday 2016 deals

This coming Black Friday, you can bet that Amazon will be offering some pretty sweet deals on gaming and tech. Last year, the massive online retailer featured a wide variety of cut-price platform bundles, including substantial savings on Xbox One and PS4 systems and games. This year, we're expecting the same – with potential deals on the PS4 Slim, and Xbox One S. Is it too early for a deal on PS VR too? Only time will tell.

Each system's back catalog has also grown quite substantially over the last twelve months, so you can expect to see some great deals on games this year, making it a perfect time to catch up on releases that you might have missed. Some of these may take the form of digital downloads as well as boxed copies. Whatever they are, we'll be tracking them here at USgamer.

When is Black Friday?

Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving, which means that in 2016 it falls on November 25th. It's long been regarded as the first day of the US Christmas shopping period, and the year's best bargain-hunting opportunity for technology, gadgets and, of course, games. While some retailers will be offering in-store deals, you'll have to compete with other shoppers to get your hands on them. Far better to do your shopping at home, where you browse for bargains without the need for getting up at the crack of dawn and queuing outside your local retailer!
