Man suing city after donut icing mistaken for meth

Daniel Rushing is suing police after he was accused of being in possession of meth that actually turned out to be frosting from a Krispy Kreme donut.
Rushing was pulled over by Orlando police for speeding when the officer then noticed some flakes in his vehicle that he presumed to be meth.
The officer administered a roadside test of the substance, which, unbelievably, came back positive.
Rushing was arrested and spent ten hours in jail until the charges were eventually dismissed after the state retested the flakes and discovered they were frosting from a donut.
Rushing is now suing the city for defamation claiming that the drug tests are known to be faulty, that the officer didn't know how to use them and that the faulty and hasty arrest lead to his mugshot being up on the internet permanently.
It's easy to sympathize with Rushing for getting punished for something he didn't do. Krispy Kreme donuts are good, but certainly not worth serving jail time for.
