Escape to the world's least densely populated countries
Imagine a mythical land where you can avoid all election talk. No scandals, no intense judgment over bumper stickers and no relatives trying to lure you into a dinner table fight.
This fantasy exists in the form of Greenland.
Greenland is the least densely populated country in the world boasts zero people per square kilometer of land. There are approximately 57,000 people living on the island, but with 2,166,086 square kilometers of land to roam, its rare fellow residents will not be able to sniff you out to talk about the latest 'October Surprise.'
If you would rather hide from politics in a less obscure destination, you could try Australia, which has around three people were square kilometer, based on Food and Agriculture Organization and World Bank population estimates.
Australia's population density may be a welcome reprieve compared to the United States, which has 35 people per square kilometer -- and that number is only rising.
Canada is also a great option to be anti-social with only four people per square kilometer. But you are going to have to travel way north of the border to avoid majority of the nation's 35,362,905 inhabitants. Just look at how dramatic the empty landmass is from space.
