Kitten saved from Hurricane Matthew gets tiny sweater and home

A tiny kitten who endured Hurricane Matthew has gotten a loving new home.

Twitter exploded in "awwwws" when a user named Sarah posted three pictures of a kitten in a tube sock.

As if that wasn't sweet enough, the adorable story that goes with it is the stuff that feline fairy tales are made of.

We want to warm your heart even more. Take a peek at more adorable cats and kitties:

While purchasing items in a North Carolina PetSmart for her own cat, the writer says she was able to witness the survivor kitten join a new family.

It appeared that the family had been dog people, as the father was hesitant about getting a cat.

Sarah describes lingering around the store for a while to see the kitten's outcome, even willing to volunteer to take it to a local animal shelter if the family was ultimately not interested.

However, a kitten warming up in a tube sock is irresistible to most -- and she soon saw the man's wife in the store protectively cradling the cat.

As any good feline fairy tale concludes: Tube sock sweater kitten is now in good hands.
