Kim Kardashian robbery investigation continues as officials focus on limo that circled her apartment

The investigation into who was behind the armed robbery of Kim Kardashian on Sunday night in Paris intensified Thursday after officials obtained security footage from a nearby shop.

French police are reportedly focusing their attention on a suspicious black limo that circled the No Address Hotel three times in the minutes right before Kardashian escaped her restraints and called for help.

A representative for the Carel shop, which is across the street from where Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint, confirmed to PEOPLE magazine that CCTV surveillance footage captured a slow-driving black car going by at 2:34 a.m., 2:45 a.m. and 2:54 a.m.

Kardashian called her bodyguard in tears at 2:56 a.m., according to reports.

British tabloid The Sun published grainy images, which the shop employee confirmed to be authentic, taken from the security camera footage on its website.

There's no word on who exactly officials think was driving the vehicle, but sources close to the situation are pointing towards a vague inside source who may have tipped off the thieves who took over $10 million worth of jewelry from the star.

There are also theories that Kardashian's overt social media presence throughout Paris Fashion Week may have contributed to the incident. One photo in particular that showcased her $4 million engagement ring is being highlighted as potentially being the way the criminals knew about Kardashian's ornate jewelry.
