This young couple lives like it's the 1800s

Imagine yourself living life like your great grandparents did. No more Netflix, Instagram or even flat-screen televisions. No fridges, lamps or stoves. Say goodbye to your phone.

That's how one young couple is living their lives.

Meet Sarah and Gabriel Chisman from Washington. Despite their well-maintained blog and Facebook page, they still go about their daily lives as if they lived two centuries back.

Handmade, homemade clothes, iceboxes and oil lanterns are the Chrisham's reality. They sit on their family's antique chairs and cook on wood stoves. Even the food they eat 'came about' in the Victorian years, like 'shredded wheat'. Sometimes they forage their own food.

Sarah is a writer about the Victorian era, while Gabriel works in a bookshop: Their "entire life is an ongoing research project into our favorite decades of the 1880's and '90's", they say on their website.

And yes, Sarah wears a corset, "24/7, 365 days a year".
