You've been carving pumpkins wrong this whole time

Is your least favorite part of pumpkin carving the actual carving part? This hack takes all the difficulty out of jack-o-lantern decor.

Accomplish an impressive looking Halloween pumpkin without the hassle by switching from knives to cookie cutters. First, cut the top of your pumpkin and remove the insides.

Then, press one of the metal cutters from a Halloween themed cookie cutter set against the outside face of the pumpkin. Use a kitchen mallet to hammer the cookie cutter deep into the pumpkin. Once the cookie cutter has cut through the skin of the pumpkin, use the handle end of the mallet to push out the shape.

Then simply remove the cookie cutter and voila! You've got yourself a simple, sophisticated jack-o-lantern and the only thing you cut was the time it takes to make one in half. It's safe, easy and, the best part is, you're sure to get a perfectly cut shape every time!
