After the royal trip to Canada, The Mirror says odds have been cut to just 4 to 6 for a 2017 Kensington Palace announcement that Prince George and Princess Charlotte will have a sibling.

"A 2016 announcement seems unlikely but if the money's to be believed 2017 looks like a certainty," Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said.

For 2018, bookies say there's a 3 to 1 shot that an impending royal birth will be announced. Gamblers were correct when they predicted a princess as the second Cambridge child, but their odds were wrong on her being named Alice.

It has only been 17 months since the birth of Princess Charlotte, but the public seems to already be on bump-watch, hoping for another baby to be in line for the throne.

The Cambridge toddlers were a hit on their tour of Canada, even if Prince George is selective about who he high fives.
