This president is the most famous White House ghost

The White House is suspected of being haunted with some well-known ghosts.

According to the White House Historical Association, the most famous one is that of Abraham Lincoln whose otherworldly version was reportedly first recorded as being seen by a doorman in 1903.

In the 1940s, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill is said to have just finished bathing while staying at the White House when he saw Lincoln's apparition by the fireplace.

How each president has died

The statesman is believed to have told the ghost, "Good evening, Mr. President. You seem to have me at a disadvantage."

Lincoln's supernatural figure has also reportedly been spotted by Dwight Eisenhower, Jackie Kennedy, and President Ronald Reagan's daughter Maureen, among others.

Interestingly, according to historical accounts, Lincoln dismissed the idea that an afterlife exists.
