The fully dressed skeletal remains of an adult male were found last week inside the home of a blind Brooklyn woman -- and authorities believe they may have been there for over 20 years before being discovered.

According to The New York Post, the chilling discovery was made on September 15 after Rita Wolfensohn's sister-in-law Josette Buchman went to her house to pick up a few of her belongings and bring them to her in an assisted living facility.

Inside of a cluttered bedroom, Buchman reportedly found the "completely intact" skeleton of a man believed to be Wolfensohn's son, dressed in jeans, socks and a shirt, lying on its back on a thin mattress on the floor of a room that looked as if "a garbage truck had dumped its load" inside.

According to public record, Wolfensohn has two sons, one who died in 2003 at the age of 38, and another who hasn't been seen by family members in over 20 years, who would have been around 49 years old today.

The Post reported that when police questioned Wolfensohn about the incident, she spoke about her son as if he had simply moved out.
