By: Donna Freydkin

Kathy Griffin says what she means, and means what she says.

So let's just state for the record: one of the highlights of the recent iHeartRadio music festival was her impromptu interview with singer Sia -- who doesn't show her face in public anymore. See our interview with Griffin above, and don't forget that her new book, "Celebrity Run-Ins," is out on November 22.

We asked Griffin to dish on her Sia sit-down.

Yes, they met eye to eye. "I look RIGHT at her face during this interview. You'll have to see exactly what I mean."

Yes, Griffin is a major fan. "Sia's contribution to pop music is meaningful and significant. She's a true pioneer, as a woman, songwriter and incredible singing and producing talent. She is a modern music star who goes to great lengths to showcase her raw talent and ability rather than the way she looks!"

Yes, they're close. "Well, we're friends because I respect her tremendously and she laughs at my jokes. That's what I call a solid foundation."

No, this wasn't months in the making. "This was gloriously unplanned. I was presenting at iHeartRadio, she blew the roof off the place with her performance, invited me to hang in her dressing room, the cell phone camera came out and we goofed around for 2 minutes and 50 seconds of pure fun."

You can watch the video below.

Yes, Sia has a major sense of humor. "I DO love a music superstar who is willing to play along! Sia rolled with any and everything I threw at her. Enjoy!"
