PUBLIC SCHOOL and New Era team up to create new Yankees, Mets caps

Well, this is pretty cool.

Designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of PUBLIC SCHOOL and sports and lifestyle brand NEW ERA continued their partnership with the introduction of four new limited edition baseball hats.

For the first time in MLB history, a designer has been given access to alter and update the iconic NY YANKEES AND NY METS logos. PUBLIC SCHOOL has reimagined these classic hats by adding their own distinctive twist; interlocking the NY logo with their WNL logo.

Two hats boast the original Fit 9FIFTY Snapback Silhouette and while the other two are PSNY Adjustable 9TWENTY Dad Caps. The team colors and the classic raised embroidery are unchanged while custom "Where NY Lives" and "Public School" line the interior labels.

Born and raised in New York City, Designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne drew inspiration for the collection of hats from the intrinsic connection between baseball and the energy of the city in which they live and work. This collaboration reinforces their commitment to their NYC roots, merging their brand values of genuine and personal experiences with the ultimate representation of NYC style.

"We grew up diehard Yanks and Mets fans respectively" said designers Dao and Max. "We idolized the players, the teams but more than anything the logos were unwavering symbols for the city we loved. Everything we do is so heavily influenced by NYC so when this opportunity came up—to collaborate on a new hat that symbolized past, present and future—it was a dream come true.

"Our WNL cap has quickly become an iconic staple of Public School. It represents our approach to everything we do, so to be able to combine it with the two most iconic logos in sports and NY culture is just unbelievable."

The PUBLIC SCHOOL x NEW ERA limited edition collection will be sold exclusively from September 29th to September 30th at the PUBLIC SCHOOL x NEW ERA pop up shop in New York City. The hats, which retail for $75.00, will also be available for a limited time online at publicschoolnyc.com.
