Netflix reveals what episode gets people hooked on a show

Netflix has revealed the exact episode in some of its top shows which got users hooked on the series.

In a press release, the streaming company released a list of "hooked episodes" -- the point at which 70 percent of its users kept watching until the end of the season.

Some shows reeled viewers in quickly -- recent smash-hit 'Stranger Things' had you hooked by episode two. The equally-spooky documentary 'Making a Murderer' took until the fourth episode to get viewers intrigued by Steven Avery's bizarre story.

People become fans of 'The Gilmore Girls' during episode seven, when Rory has her first kiss, while it took just four episodes to get into 'Master of None' and 'Fuller House.'

Cindy Holland, Vice President of Original Content at Netflix, noted in the press release that genre didn't appear to have an effect on how long it took to hook viewers, adding, "The hooked findings give us confidence that there is an appetite for original and unique content all over the world, which is why we're excited to deliver variety in stories to our members, whether they're political dramas from France or musical dramas from the Bronx."
