James Corden channels Harry Potter, Gandalf, Sherlock for 'Bridget Jones's Baby' audition

Bridget Jones's Baby may already be in theaters, but on Wednesday's Late Late Show, James Corden released his fake audition tape for the movie.

The Late Late Show host was auditioning to replace Hugh Grant in the third Bridget Jones film, and he was so nervous to come off as charming and British he completely flopped.

After a few failed attempts, Corden decided that he'd channel characters like Mary Poppins' chimney-sweep love interest Bert, Sherlock Holmes, Harry Potter, Austin Powers and Queen Elizabeth.

"We are very, very disappointed in one Bridget," Corden's version of the Queen said. His Holmes tried to work out the probability of who the father of Jones' baby was.

As Corden brought out his Lord of the Rings impression, costume and all, Patrick Dempsey came in to save the day.
