Hannity came under fire on Tuesday when he appeared in a promotional YouTube video for the Trump campaign. The Fox News host discussed Trump's pledges to build a border wall, eliminate Obamacare, make America energy independent and defend the Second Amendment.

"We were not aware of Sean Hannity participating in a promotional video and he will not be doing anything along these lines for the remainder of the election season," a Fox News spokesperson said.

Hannity explained in the video why he is voting for the Republican nominee.

"He's going to put originalists on the Supreme Court," Hannity said. "He's a guy that will vet refugees to keep Americans safe and, of course, he's gonna build that wall."

The eight-minute video titled, "#HEARTLAND4TRUMP," also features a "Benghazi hero" discussing how America is too politically correct, a hunter discussing his love of guns and even Ted Nugent talking about the negative traits of Hillary Clinton, among other things.

Hannity's town hall will focus on issues and concerns surrounding African-Americans this election cycle and was taped on Wednesday afternoon in Cleveland, Ohio.

It will air Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET.
