Watch Angela Lansbury stun crowd as she sings 'Beauty and the Beast' theme

The Film Society of Lincoln Center and Disney presented a special viewing of Beauty and the Beaston Sunday night (Sept. 18) in honor of the classic animated film's 25th anniversary. While original voice cast members such as Robby Benson (Beast), Paige O'Hara (Belle), Angela Lansbury (Mrs. Potts) and Richard White (Gaston) had all signed on to appear at the event, no one expected what happened when Lansbury glided on stage.

Emma Watson Cast in Disney's Live-Action 'Beauty and the Beast'

Introduced by none other than (a costumed) Belle and the Beast, Lansbury dove into a stunning version of the film's title track, adding her own spin, of course, and ending with an adorable quote from Mrs. Potts herself: ""Run along and get in the cupboard, Chip. Time you was in bed." The film was originally screened as a "Work in Progress" at the 29th annual New York Film Festival held in the same hall in September of 1991.

Disney is currently creating a live-action version of the film, set for release in March. Emma Watson will star as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast -- Emma Thompson will take over the role of Mrs. Potts.
