This breastfeeding mother pumped while running in a half marathon

New mother Anna Young ran a half marathon five months after giving birth to her baby girl –- but that's not all the super-mom did.

Young proceeded to pump breast milk after she crossed the 8-mile mark. She did all of this while running.

"I had to leave at 4:30am and the race started at 6:45am," she wrote on Facebook.

"I nursed my daughter before I left the house, pumped after running the first 8 miles and nursed her after I made it past the finish line."

She acknowledged Occupy Breastfeeding and La Leche League for inspiring her to find a way to run the race while still accommodating her daughter's needs.

"I don't believe most of the people running past me could tell what I was doing, but I did have one woman look back and cheer me on because she knew exactly what I was doing," she told Huffington Post.

Using the hashtag #NormalizeBreastfeeding, she hopes her story will help encourage other women to shamelessly breastfeed no matter where they are.

"I want other moms to see that you can still take time to do the active things you love and nurture your baby," she told HuffPost.

"Breastfeeding and motherhood does not limit what I am capable of, it only enhances it."
